Who is Matchmaker for?

  1. Industrial and technology companies that have a solid product but need to improve the user experience or upgrade their product.
  2. Creatives, creative technology and humanities experts (designers, game studios, XR companies, humanists) who have the ability to make products genuinely useful, easy, and pleasant to use.

What does Matchmaker examine?

  1. What is the real problem – and for whom?

We find out, for example, where the user’s work or everyday life becomes stressful, where mistakes occur, where trust is shaken, or what prevents smooth operation.

  1. What skills are needed?

Often, the solutions require multidisciplinary expertise, such as technical implementation, design, clear communication, understanding of behavior, and implementation planning.

  1. What is the company’s co-development readiness?

Analyze whether the company is ready to open up its real challenges and engage in collaborative work with others, and how this readiness can be developed if necessary.

  1. Who is the best partner and how should the project be piloted?

Based on the analysis, the most suitable partners are selected and cooperation is initiated with a small, concrete co-development project.

How does the process work?

The Matchmaker model is designed to be agile and step-by-step. The goal is for each step to produce practical benefits for those involved.

STEP 1: Flash analysis

The process can begin with a contact from the company or background work done by Createch Finland. The first step is always a flash analysis.

  • This is a concise report compiled by an expert using artificial intelligence and based on public sources and/or material provided by the company, offering an outside perspective on the company’s current position.
  • The analysis reviews, among other things, the company’s product offering, expertise, market and competitive situation, people-centricity, and experience in co-development. These will, of course, be expanded upon at a later stage.
  • The flash analysis provides a starting point for a more in-depth analysis and can reveal hidden strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for co-creation.
  • This stage does not require any commitment or heavy workload from the company.

Based on the flash analysis, a short (approx. 1-2 hours) facilitated workshop is organized.

  • The workshop expands on the results of the flash analysis
  • We define what business or user experience problem really needs to be solved.
  • We define the goal and 1-3 concrete development challenges.
  • We determine what skills are needed to solve the challenges.
  • We define the resources, budget, and schedule for the development experiment

Once the need has been clarified, the Matchmaker searches for suitable partners.

  • We search for the most suitable partners for solving the challenge(s) in accordance with jointly agreed principles.
  • We ensure that the proposed partners are compatible not only in terms of their expertise profiles but also in terms of their corporate cultures.
  • We launch a short (4-6 weeks) co-development experiment focused on accomplishing concrete results.
  • The success of the experiment is measured concretely. Did the number of errors decrease? Did learning speed up? Did the user experience improve?
  • Test the collaboration and idea with little risk before making large investments. A decision on possible further action is made based on the experiences and results of the experiment.
  • Createch Finland’s experts act as mentors and sparring partners as needed
